 The Treasure Within
The treasure within is a Comenius network, an international network of schools and other educational institutions in order to exchange experiences and know-how in various thematic areas. The network provides a forum for its members to communicate with one another and to learn from one another. Its aim is to promote European co-operation in the field of education. The theme of the network is Evaluation of Quality in School Education, with a special emphasis on developing and empowering schools as learning organisations, and on the development of the internal expertise within schools, so as to disclose and nurture “the treasure within”. |

Op 1 september 1997 ging een Europees samenwerkingsproject van start onder het acroniem ECCELLENTT (Evaluation of Communicative Competence in European Language Learning Encompassing New Testing Technologies. Het uiteindelijk doel van het project is bij te dragen tot een geïntegreerd vreemdetalenbeleid op schoolniveau. Concreet wordt voor het secundair onderwijs in Vlaanderen gestreefd naar de implementatie van een eenduidig vreemdetalenbeleid over de niveaus (eerste, tweede en derde graad) en talen (Frans, Engels en Duits) heen. |
